DMK MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi inaugurated the 13th annual Conference of Clinical Infectious Diseases Society at Chennai Trade Centre. Dr Preetha Reddy, Executive Vice Chairperson, Apollo Hospitals and Dr Soumya Swaminathan, Chairperson, MSSRF were Guest of Honours. The three-day conference is attended by experts from the medical fraternity covered a vigorous exchange of knowledge and research on developments in the Infectious Diseases field. The conference, an annual affair, focuses on a variety of critical themes such as hospital infection control and Hospital Acquired Infections, collaboration with other specialties in infection control, critical care in infectious diseases and the role of vaccination in infection control and case-based approaches.
