As part of Wildlife Week, which is observed from October 2nd to 8th to raise awareness about nature and wildlife conservation, a seed ball throwing event was held in the Karamadai forest.
Organised under the leadership of Karamadai Forest Ranger Ranjith, in collaboration with various NGOs, the event saw the distribution of around 15,000 seed balls of neem, mountain neem, naga tree, and other native species. The seed balls were scattered in forest areas such as Athikadavu, Sorandi, and other deep forest regions to promote reforestation and enhance biodiversity. Private college students participated in the event and were educated on the importance of wildlife protection and forest conservation. This initiative aimed to promote environmental awareness and encourage youth to contribute to protecting the
ecosystem.
