21st Memorial Day of Dr. Rajammal. P. Devadas observed

Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women observed the 21st Memorial Day of beloved Amma Avargal, Dr. Rajammal. P. Devadas on March 17. Dr. N. Vasugi Raja, Professor and Dean, School of Home Science, welcomed the gathering.  Dr. Gowri Ramakrishnan, Assistant Managing Trustee of the institute presided over the event. 

She fondly recalled her student years in the Institute under the leadership of Amma. Dr. Vijayalakshmi Purushothaman, Former Dean, Faculty of Community Education and Entrepreneurship Development, of the Institute was the chief guest for the event.  Dr. Bharathi Harishankar, Vice Chancellor of the Institute expressed her happiness in being part of the event. 

Mr. Raja Michael, the nephew of Amma Avargal addressed the audience. Dr. S. Kowsalya, Registrar of the Institution proposed the Vote of Thanks.  Managing Trustee Dr.T.S.K. Meenakshisundaram, and Honourable Chancellor, Dr.S.P.Thyagarajan passed on their wishes for the conduct of the event.
