228 students placed in Perundurai Kongu Polytechnic

Perundurai Kongu Polytechnic College (PKPC) distributed Rs 19.70 lakh education aid to its meritorious students this year, and 228 students got jobs in various firmd through its placement camps , said the college correspondent PT Venkatachalam.
The College was started in 1983 by Kongu Velalar Technical Education Trust (KVITT). 
It is functioning as a leading college in Tamil Nadu in student placements and board exams. Ms.N.Vidya, a student of automobile department, scored 599 marks out of 600 in the fifth semester exam held recently and has set a record at the state level. It has 10 departments-Civil, Mechanical, ECE,EEE, Chemicals, Automobiles, Mechatronics, Instrumentation and Control, Computers and Computers and Networking. Under Pragathi scheme, girl students are given educational assistance.  
Second year lateral entry was given priority in the admission in the Kongu Engineering College. 
This year 228 students have got employment and 300 are enrolled in higher education. 
Students are continuously getting employment after signing MoUs with more than ten international companies. Hostel facilities are working well. 
Students who excel in the field of sports will be given priority in admission and tuition and hostel fees will be waived.
This year the students  have won many medals in the field of sports at South Zone, State and Erode zone level events.  In the college, various wings such as NCC, NSS, CIICP,EDC, women development cell, etc were functioning well to train students to excel in various fields.
