702 years imprisonment for sexual criminal

The Southeast Asian country of Malaysia carries severe penalties for criminal offences. Recently, a woman was hanged for drug possession. In particular, it is common for sex offenders to be sentenced to many years in prison.
Muar is in the Johor district of Malaysia. A 53-year-old health worker here has two daughters aged 12 and 15. He sexually assaulted his own daughters from 2018 to July this year.
One of the two daughters has become pregnant due to this cruel act of his. After this the worker was arrested by the police and produced before the court. The offense was confirmed. But the convicted father, instead of hiring a lawyer, admitted having done the crime and pleaded with the judge to give him a minimum sentence, saying he was remorseful.
Judge Abu Bakar Manat, who refused to accept this, sentenced the convict to 702 years in prison and 234 months in prison to show that he truly repented for his heinous crime. 

Recently, a man in Singapore was sentenced to 218 years in prison and 75 lashes for sexually assaulting his 15-year-old daughter. This harsh punishment has become a talking point all over the world. There is no doubt it was the `right judgement'. Will he be in prison for so many years? He will remain in prison until he dies. Then why 702 years of imprisonment? The judge's anger is expressed ike this because the maximum sentence is not enough. The law of the country also allows it. Because the nature of the crime is so serious. That is why such crimes are less common in Malaysia.]
Aren't there cases of rape of children and rape of women in India? Too much going on. Not a day goes by that such incidents are not reported in the newspapers.
This is because India does not have the harshest punishments as it is in Malaysia.
Sex crimes should be punished in India as harshly as in Malaysia. People on social media have been pressuring that the POCSO Act is not enough.
Government of India should make the punishment more severe to stop sexual violence against women especially girls or reduce the crimes significantly!
