In this regard MLAs meeting was held at the Erode Collector's office and the issue of textile dye waste problem in Erode West and East constituencies was discussed. He said during the regime of the former Chief Minister Kalaignar, a scheme to treat the dye waste and take it to the sea was considered but the project was abandoned due to the opposition of the fishermen.

On building a flyover from Kalingarayan House to Thindal, he said that  even if the flyover is built, only college and school vehicles will pass on it.  In Erode, traffic congestion in the area will be reduced once 2 new central bus stands are started functioning at Solar and Ganiravutharkulam where all mofussil buses will stop. UGD and Uratchikottai water project will be implemented in the left out areas.

Steps have been taken to get land pattas for 3000 houses in Erode town.   In the first phase, land records of five persons have been scrutinized and the matter has been taken to the attention of the revenue department as they have been residing there for many years.

He said that due to the recent rains, rain water has accumulated in Kalingarayan Palayam area where the main water pumping station is located for Athikadavu Avinasi Water Project, so there is  a delay in the project work.  In the six water stations under this project, 99 percent work has been completed. So, the project would soon be inaugurated by the CM, he added.
