A team led by nuclear scientist inspects Ooty lake

A team led by Chennai-based nuclear scientist Daniel Chellapa conducted an inspection of Ooty Lake on July 10. Following the inspection, Chellapa stated, "We inspected Ooty Lake in response to a call from Tourism Minister K Ramachandran. We inquired about the source of the lake and its exit points. We also took samples of the water due to a noticeable change in its colour. Once the results are out, we will understand what caused the water colour to change."

Additionally, the team visited the residence of Bomman in Gudalur Panchayat Union to inspect the functionality of a water purifier installed there. District Collector M Aruna, Additional Collector Koushik, Udhagai Municipal Officer Egaraj, and other government officials were present during the inspection.
