The Athikadavu Avinasi water project will be completed within a few months, said Chief Minister
MK Stalin.He inaugurated various projects, laid foundation for new works and distributed various benefits to 63858 persons, totalling Rs 612.77 cr, at a government function near Perundurai on Friday.
In his speech, he said that Rs 60 lakh would be allotted to create a study report to extend the Erode ring road project, Rs 16.82 cr new projects would be enforced through agriculture and agri business department, cold storage units would be created at Thalavadi, Nallampatti and Erode for the benefit of ryots, the turmeric export terminal would be upgraded at a cost of Rs 10 cr, Thalavadi PHC be upgraded with X Ray facility at a cost of Rs 25 lakh in the district.
He cited the record paddy production in the state and the HC ruling upholding the government Act to make persons of all castes to become archakas in the temples in the state as great achievements of the DMK government. He said uniform development of all districts, departments, persons etc were the main concept of Dravidian Model Rue. Now, such rules's major schemes including free bus travel for women, makkalai thedi maruthuvam, illam thedi kalvi schemes etc were followed by other states. That's is the success of the Dravidian model rule, he added.
After DMK came to power, Government took over CN College, UGD scheme was extended in uncovered areas in Erode, 2 bus stands were sanctioned for Erode, Kodiveri water project was completed, Telemedicine scheme was launched in hill areas etc and Aatral App was inaugurated for selling goods abroad in Erode District.Ministers S Muthusamy, MP Saminathan, Kayalvizhi Selvaraj, Collector H Krishnanunni, MPs and MLAs attended the function.
