Advances in Rigid Bronchoscopy discussed at KMCH International Workshop held at KMCH

The Department of Interventional Pulmonology, Kovai Medical Center and Hospital, Coimbatore has conducted a two-day skill training program with a highly focussed workshop on rigid bronchoscopy in the name, ‘Art of Rigid Bronchoscopy - From Basics to Brilliance” at KMCH premises on June 4 an 5, 2022.

The Chairman of KMCH, Dr. Nalla G. Palaniswami inaugurated the program and said that KMCH is the pioneer institute in this region of the country to deliver healthcare at par with international standards and serves the community for the past 30 years.

The institute has been the first in the region to introduce many new innovations including Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS), Robotic surgeries, Cryoablation etc.Two international experts from Italy and more than 10 experts from all over the nation have joinedthe program and shared their knowledge and expertise along with the Interventional Pulmonology team in KMCH including DR. S. Santhakumar, Dr. J. Venugopal, Dr. Deepak T.H and Dr.RM.PL.Ramanathan.More than 150 postgraduates and young pulmonologists from all over the country have participated in the workshop.
