Tamil Nadu has moved up from 14th place to 3rd place in the list of best states to start a business. No one doubts that Chief Minister M.K.Stalin is the primary reason for this. However, the Minister of Industry and his team also played a major role. Chief Minister has congratulated all of them.
The Tamil Nadu government has achieved this feat by holding 5 industrial investors' conferences so far. The list is being prepared covering 301 reform features including unilateralism, Labour and Environmental reforms, Tax reform and Construction permits. States are awarded points for implementing these and a rating list is published by the Union Government.
Accordingly, the Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry has released the evaluation report. It is not unusual for Tamil Nadu to get the third place.Rs. 94,975 crore investment and employment for 2.26 lakh persons in Tamil Nadu, MoUs with 132 companies, continued efforts to start industries, measures to attract investors are some of the significant achievements which undoubtedly are a result of Chief Minister M.K.Stalin's unceasing efforts and it is no wonderTamil Nadu has progressed to the third place in the achievement list.
The industrial sector is speeding up its progress so that Tamil Nadu gets the top spot in this list in the coming year. It is to create the knowledge required for that achievement that the 'NaanMudhalvan' project has been launched.
Chief Minister M.K.Stalin often says, ``My desire is for Tamil Nadu to be first rather than me being first.''His wish for the industry is sure to come true. The day of being on top is not far away!
