AIADMK starts work to face bypoll in Erode East segment

AIADMK cadres told to work hard to capture Erode East segment for which bypoll would be held shortly due to the sudden demise of Congress MLA Thirumagan Evara, said Erode Maanagar district party secretary and former minister KV Ramalingam. 

Distributing voters list to party cadres of the segment at the party office on Thursday, he alleged DMK came to power by giving many false promises. It stopped all welfare schemes of AIADMK rule after it came to power and didn't fulfill its many promises so far. By this way it duped people in many ways.

Pongal festival

When EPS was CM Rs 2500 was given during Pongal, the CM  Stalin asked Rs 5000. But, now,  he offered just Rs 1000. Only after AIADMK announced stir, sugarcane was announced for public for Pongal festival. Last year, he didn't give any amount to people during Pongal and offered substandard groceries to public. Now, each family suffers with heavy financial burden due to property, water tax and power tariff etc. 

On the other, Tasmac shops were functioning illegally in many areas to make people addict to liquor.  All the omissions and commissions of DMK rule should be highlighted among people in the upcoming bypoll in Erode East segment and make it as a precursor for AIADMK to come to power in 2026 under the leadership of  EPS,  he added.
