AIADMK to protest against hike in Power Tariff on Sept 16

AIADMK leader and former chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami announced that AIADMK would stage a protest on September 16 condemning the DMK government for hiking the power tariff.

In a statement, he said that the DMK who had promised the public that they would not increase the power or bus fare during the election campaign, has now proposed to increase the power tariff and pushed the people into distress. 

Demanding the government to immediately withdraw the power hike, AIADMK would stage a protest in all the districts across the state on September 16 at 10:30 am, the statement added.
