Amit Shah to visit Chennai today

Senior BJP leader and union minister Amit Shah would reach the city on Saturday to hold a meeting with the party functionaries from South Chennai ahead of the parliamentary election. He would also participate in the public meeting that takes place in Vellore on Sunday.
All the political parties have kick-started their preparatory works for the 2024 parliamentary election. In Tamil Nadu, the BJP has formed an alliance with the AIADMK headed by Edappadi K Palaniswami and it has been showing interest to contest in particular constituencies. 

South Chennai constituency is one among them.
During his visit to Chennai, he would interact with the party functionaries and cadres from South Chennai. He would leave from Maharashtra and reach Chennai at 8: 45 pm. 

He would be received by partymen headed by state president K Annamalai. Shah would travel straight to ITC Grand Chola from the Chennai international airport where he would rest for the day. At 9:05 am on Sunday, as many as 25 delegates would meet him at the hotel. Former Chief Ministers Edappadi K Palaniswami and O Panneerselvam are likely to meet him.
The minister would leave at 11:25 am from the hotel and reach the venue – Rani Mahal near Kovilambakkam – at 11:40 pm.

 He would hold talks with party functionaries for about an hour. 
He would return to the hotel for lunch before traveling to Vellore at 1:40 pm. He reaches Vellore by flight. From the airport, he would take a car to Gandhaneri region where a public meeting explaining the nine years achievements of the party would take place.
After the public meeting, he would return to Chennai from where he would leave for Vishakapattinam at 5:50 pm. He would participate in a public meeting at Waltair railway ground. After holding talks with the party functionaries there, he would return to New Delhi that night.
