Amitsha's calculations on AIADMK!

Amitsha's calculations on AIADMK!

Edappadi Palaniswami (EPS) is everything in AIADMK from now on. The court also recognized
him as the general secretary of the party. The Election Commission has also recognized his
postion. He went to Delhi and met Home Minister Amit Shah to confirm that he was everything
that AIADMK is and also renewed ties with BJP.

No more trouble from O. Panneerselvam (OPS). Even though Edappadi dreams of not coming
under pressure from Delhi, various political calculations are running in the background.
The BJP is moving very carefully so that AIADMK's grip does not slip away from them. One thing
in this is that a united AIADMK should be looked at. The BJP feels that it should make full use of
its influence in the upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections. Union Home Minister Amit
Shah has repeatedly emphasized to Edappadi Palaniswami in this regard.

"But don't just ask that. I will prove it in the coming elections my influence4. BJP has benefited
from AIADMK and AIADMK will benefit from BJP",'EPS replied.
]
However, the Delhi leadership did not want to leave O. Panneerselvam alone. At the same time
they want to respect EPS's assurance also. This revelation was echoed in an interview given by
Amit Shah to a private television station in Delhi. Reporters questioned Amit Shah about the
AIADMK issue. In it he has said, ``We do not want to interfere in the issue between O.
Panneerselvam and Edappadi Palaniswami because it is an internal matter of the party. Both of
them should talk and take a smooth decision.'']

He has however inserted a reply saying that it is AIADMK's personal problem and let's talk
about it. Now this is worth noting. While this gave some comfort to the OPS side, it left the BJP
in an embarrassing situation where it had to give more credit to Edappadi. With the Lok Sabha
elections still a year away, the BJP side is currently determined on how many seats to contest in
Tamil Nadu. 9 seats have been marked in Tamil Nadu.

Constituencies are listed in South and West. Is Delhi taking up the OPS issue again just to fix
this? The question did not arise. Will AIADMK agree to BJP's seat demand? What will be the
position of OPS? Will BJP's election dream come true? The political arena is eagerly waiting to
answer such questions. We will wait too!
