Students and staff members of Kongunadu
Arts and Science College have taken a pledge “Against Drug Abuse” in all the classrooms on Aug 11.
Around 1200 students
including staff members assembled in the College Auditorium at 10:30 am to participate
in the live telecast function organized by Narcotic Intelligence Bureau, CID unit and
Tamil Nadu Government at Chennai where CM led the pledge followed by our students and attended the CM's address.
Followed this, an awareness program on ‘Drug Free Tamil Nadu’ was
conducted by Anti-drug abuse committee of the college. Dr. K. Muthukumar, Assistant
Professor of Tamil and member of Anti-Drug Abuse committee welcomed the gathering
and Dr. M. Lekeshmanaswamy, Principal
delivered the presidential address. Thiru. S. Rathnakumar, Inspector of Police,
Thudiyalur delivered a special address.
Dr. R. T. Narendhirakannan, Assistant Professor of Biochemistry and Coordinator the committee felicitated the gathering. Ms. Anusha, student of II M. Sc
proposed the vote of thanks.
