Astrologers welfare board sought

Tenth state level astrologers conference, held at Erode on Sunday, appealed to the government to constitute astrologers welfare board in the state. 

Inaugurating the meet,  arranged by Ulaga Thamizh Jothidargal Mahajana Sabhai, renowned astrologer Aditya Gurujii, head of the Sabhai, said that thousands of astrologers and experts in related fields were in the state. All of them were not well off. So, to protect their life and extend due relief to the needy, the government should come forward to constitute the board on the model of journalists welfare board. 

He explained various aspects of the astrology and said more and more people should come forward to learn the science and do research on the subject. On the occasion, his 8 research books on astrology were released. 

Renowned astrologers Shelvi, TR Gobu, Dindigul Chinnarasu, Narayanan, Balagihasan, prof VA Shanmugavel, Kavignar Maraiyendhi, R Manoharan and PA Rishikesava attended. A few scholars in the field were given life time achievers awards for their research activities.
