Award for Best Model Village Panchayat announced

Kulur panchayat in Modakurichi block in the district has been selected as a model village panchayat at the state level under the Swachh Bharat Movement (rural) scheme. 

A cheque for a sum of Rs.15 lakh, a certificate of appreciation and a shield would be given by the Chief Minister to it shortly.

Among the 14 blocks in the district, Kullampalayam  panchayat in Perundurai block was selected as best model village panchayat.

 Following this, at the Independence Day function held at the Erode VOC Ground, District Collector H. Krishnanunni presented a cheque for a sum of Rs.7.50 lakh to the panchayat president Arjunan.
