Ayyappan theerthavari festival

Oonjalur Ayyappa Seva Sangam next to Kodumudi organised Ayyappa Swamy's 57th theerthavari anniversary ceremony at the Cauvery river.  The festival began at 5 am on Sunday morning with Ganapati Puja. Then at 11 am, the Teerthavari was held for the idol of Ayyappa Swamy in Cauvery. 

Thereafter, the idol was anointed with 16 types of aromatic substances including milk, water, paneer, sandalwood and honey. Then 108 sangabhishekam, followed by Maha Deeparathana, and Annadanam was held. The arrangements were made by the Ayyappa Seva Sangam.
