The state government should take steps to ban online gambling games in the state as many youths have
lost their lives because of the game, said GV Manimaran, national general secretary
of Rashtriya Lok Janshakti.
Manimaran, who spoke to the news persons after participating in the state level executive meeting of the party, said that actors who appeared in advertisements for promoting the game should return the money and the government should take steps to prohibit airing of such advertisements.
He also condemned the state government for arresting the Sri Lankan Tamils who reached Tamil Nadu seeking help following the economic crisis in their state. During the meeting, discussions to contest
in the upcoming parliamentary election and to add more members in the party were made.
State general secretary of the party C Palaniswami, vice president Karthik, state president (industries) Dr Siva, president of Dalit Sena Ukkadam Nagendran and other functionaries participated in the meeting.
