The weekly public grievance redressal meeting was held under the chairmanship of District Collector J. Meghanathareddy at the Collectorate.
At the meeting, petitions were received regarding house site pattas, family card, employment, old age, accident relief, disability, and widow allowance, marriage aid etc. The District Collector handed over the petitions to the concerned departmental officers and directed them to take appropriate action. He also directed the officials to take action on the petitions sent to the CM's office.
Earlier, the Department of Horticulture and Hill Crops announced the award for the best farmer in horticulture cultivation on barren land at the district level for the year 2021-22. Following this, applications were received from various farmers and the field was examined by the District Selection Expert Committee. The first prize of Rs. 15,000 was given to R Ananthakumar, second prize of Rs. 10000 to R Vijayakumar and 3rd prize of Rs. 5000 to N. Chandran by the Collector
The meeting was attended by District Revenue Officer Mr. Mangalaramasubramanian, District Collector's Personal Assistant (Agriculture) Mr. Sankar S. Narayanan, District Social Welfare and Women's Rights Officer Mrs. Indira and District Disability Welfare Officer Mr. Chandrasekaran and many other government officials from various departments.
