Bid to rob ATM Machine near Sathy

Some unidentified persons tried to rob cash from the ATM of SBI branch 
at Madampalayam Road in Punchai Puliampatti, Sathy  by breaking it last midnight. The branch has two ATMs and one payment machine. At around 2.30 am, an alarm sounded from the ATM. The public heard the burglar alarm and informed the Punchai Puliyampatti police. 

 Police immediately went to the scene and were shocked to find that an ATM had been broken into and damaged by the robbers. The bank officials who arrived at the scene told police that several lakhs of rupees had escaped from theft as the robbers could not withdraw any money from the ATM machine. 

 Following this, sniffer dogs and forensic experts are being called from Erode to find out who tried to break into the ATM and rob it. When the robbers entered the ATM center, they hid the CCTV camera there with paper and broke the ATM machine. The incident has caused a stir in the area.
