BIT students bag I prize in AMUROV competition

UUV Lab and Modelling & Analysis lab students of Bannari Amman Institute of Technology (BIT) won I and II prize in AMUROV competition.


AMUROV is a National-Level student competition organized by Marine Technology Society, Autonomous Underwater Vehicle Club MTS-AUV in collaboration with Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, IEEE AMU, established to generate and enhance a community of innovators capable of making substantive contributions to the remotely operated underwater vehicles (ROVs) domain. The competition creates a platform for students to showcase their skills in design and underwater robotics.

 The students from all over India registered for the competition. The registered teams insisted on submitting their technical design report and videos of their robot online.
All over India only 8 teams were selected for the Grand Finale. The student team Sakthivel P (191EE 198), Santhosh R (191EE205), Bala
ganesh.S (191 ME113), Jaswanth Kumar M (191ME145) and Kavin E (191ME160) from Unmanned Underwater Vehicle Lab secured First position with cash prize of Rs.20000 and another student team Prasanth T (211ME537), Srivishnu SS (211 ME550), Vasanth S (211ME556), Kamalesh J (201 ME 135), and Mohanakrishnan K (211 ME530) from Modelling & Analysis lab secured Second position with cash prize of Rs. 10000 in Grand finale at Aligarh Muslim University , Uttar Pradesh. 


The prize is distributed by industry personnels and honored the students. The students were mentored by Mr. Selvamuthukumaran AP || Mech (UUV Lab I/C), Mr. Kamal Basha API/Mech and Mr. M Nandhagopal ASP/ Mech (Modelling and Analysis lab I/C).
