Bannari Amman Institute (BIT) of Technology students secured Best Employees’ Choice award winner in L&T TECHgium 6th edition
L&T TECHgium is an open innovation competition that allows students to work on major engineering challenges faced by the industry today.
For this, 6th edition of Techgium, L&T received around 3000 abstracts from 31,000 students worldwide who were associated with 481 institutes.
Among the 3553 abstracts, 434 teams were shortlisted for the presentation round.
Out of 434, only 129 cleared the round on Proof of Concept (PoC).
Finally, L&T selected the top 25 teams as finalists for 50 various problem statements.
Tharun T, Nawin A, and Praveen Kumar S Y from Team “Uchiha” of Hackathon Lab from BIT participated in the final round from May 02 to 05, 2023 at L&T Technology Service, Mysore.
They proposed a solution to charge a vehicle while running using mechanical energy wastage through EBD and traction control.
They also proposed a hybrid energy harvester to charge the vehicle using photovoltaic, electromagnetic, and piezoelectric methods for the same.
The Director-General of DRDO and CEOs and CFOs of L&T appreciated the project.
The team "Uchiha" was announced as the Best Employees’ Choice award winner along with gift vouchers of Rs.50000.
