BJP and AIADMK members get into a tussle

During the ongoing election campaigns in the Coimbatore parliamentary constituency, a tussle erupted between members of the AIADMK and BJP parties. Both parties were actively canvassing for votes in the Sulur Assembly Constituency. AIADMK candidate Singhai Ramachandran, Sulur AIADMK assembly member Kandasamy, and AIADMK executives were gathering votes in the Thottipalayam area when BJP state president Annamalai arrived to campaign in the same location.
Reportedly, the BJP campaign vehicle collided with the AIADMK campaign vehicle and drove away without stopping, triggering an argument between the two groups. Singhai Ramachandran, Kandasamy, and other AIADMK members stopped Annamalai's campaign vehicle and staged a road blockade.
AIADMK alleged that they were campaigning within the allotted time, and the police had permitted BJP to campaign in the Madapur panchayat area beyond the designated time. Police intervened promptly and dispersed both groups, restoring order.
The incident caused traffic disruptions for over half an hour and led to a tense situation.
