BJP seeks CBI Probe on Ovum sales issue

S Saravanan appealed to the government to order CBI probe on ovum sales of  minor girl in Erode. 

Heading a demonstration of party cadres on the issue here on Saturday, he said that according to a top police officer's report, during the past one year till April, ovum of 630 minor girls were collected by various fertility centres in the state. In the present case in Erode, the 16 year old minor girl was forced to donate to hospitals in Tirupathi and Thiruvanandapuram. So,  Erode police rushed to that states also. 

But, people asked whether the police and medical team would come out with full truth. Above all, a person created a fake Aadhar Card to show her age as 18. But,  till date, nothing was said about the Aadhar centre where the fake card was created and whether such centre was sealed  or not. One could not know how many fake cards were created so far to exoloit minor girls. Besides, the affected girl was not yet given due protection by the government and even district child protection committee was mum on the issue.

The leftists who could normally make huge hue and cry on any issue did not raise any protest on the present issue. Only 20 fertility centre hospitals were given license in Chennai. But,180 hospitals have fertility centres. Who allowed such excess number of fertility centres to function,  he asked. In fact, a functionary of Hindu Munnani alone exposed the racket. The issue is linked with TN, AP, Telangana and Kerala. So, he said CBI inquiry would alone unearth the facts and demanded a white paper on the ovum donation issue.Ex-MP Dr Soundaram, district president Senthilkumar, general secretary Senthil, and many functionaries attended.
