BJP stages stir against Raja

Over 100 BJP cadres were held by police at Punjaipuliampatti on Monday for staging road roko. They, led by party district president Kalaivani demanded arrest of Nilgiris Lok Sabha member A. Raja, who visited Punjaipuliampatti, for his recent comments against Hindus.

 The BJP protest was held near the Adiparashakti Amman Temple on Sathyamangalam Road, condemning Rasa and demanding his arrest. The protestors suddenly started a road roko on the Sathyamangalam National Highway.

Following this, more than 100 BJP members who participated in the picket were arrested by Punjaipuliambatti police.
