Breaking the Plastic Habit at St. Jude’s

The International Plastic Bag Free Day was celebrated at St. Jude’s Public School and Junior College, Kotagiri on July 3 under the guidance of the Chairman, Dr P.P. Dhanarajan and the Executive Director, Mr. Samjith Dhanarajan. Mrs. Asha welcomed the gathering.  Principal, Dr. Saro Dhanarajan and the Additional Principal, Mr. Sivakumar presided. The students enacted a mime and sang a song to create an awareness on the ill-effects of using plastic bags. They motivated their fellow Judians on preventing the usage of the plastic bags to save the environment and the animals on this planet. The students also took an oath to use papers instead of plastic bags in the future. Paper bags made by the students were distributed to the gathering and the programme ended with Adhira P of grade VIII proposing the vote of thanks.
