Cadres keen to contest in DMK poll

Many cadres  keen to contest  in the ongoing party election for the posts in the panchayat union level party units in the district.Party election observers advocate Par Elangovan and Palavakkam Somu received applications from the candidates in the DMK Erode South and North District units in the respective Party offices at Erode and Kavundapadi.

Par Elangovan said ''there is much enthusiasm among cadres in taking part in the poll in 13 unions in South and 15 unions in North District party units.  The functionaries  who work hard for the party during the past 10 years when it was in opposition would get the posts again. On an average 50 persons apply for 16 posts in each union. If there is a contest,  consensus would be created by holding talks in electing office bearers, he added.

The Chief Minister have announced various projects and work hard for the welfare of the people. However, incidents like deaths in police stations are taking place. The government is conducting a formal nvestigation into this. A third police commission has been set up to improve the police force. During the AIADMK rule alone Kodanadu murder incidents took place.

So  Edapadi Palanisamy has no locus standi to flay present rule on law and order situation. People know that during the AIADMK regime electricity was bought  at high prices causing huge loss to exchequer. But  the DMK government has taken steps to increase power generation at the government level and bought power at less cost.

So,  some interruptions in power supply arose.  However the situation would fully improve in near future with self sufficiency in power generation, he added. Erode City DMK Secretary Subramaniam Chennimalai Union Secretary Senkottayan and Kunnathur Union Secretary Subramaniam  were present.
