Cauvery tangle: Seeman asks DMK to quit Congress alliance

As Congress led Karnataka government refused to give our share of Cauvery water, DMK should quit Congress alliance, if it is really interested on Tanjore ryots welfare, demanded Naam Thamizhar Katchi state coordinator Seeman. 

He said in an interview to the media in Erode today ''Many spoke on CAG report. and corruption. All those who talk about corruption are not clean. Corruption can be checked. But, the natural resources of the state  is being looted. How can this be corrected, he asked.

 DMK claims to have fulfilled 80 percent of promises. Let it cite  eight promises that it has fulfilled. Even as DMK ruled the state for many years, it left students for begging breakfast, lunch in schools, Rs 1000 for women.It  said all women would be given Rs 1000. But now it says the aid would be given to eligible women. Who are they to determine the merit of our women, he asked.

He welcomed Justice Anand Venkatesh's opinion of investigating the corruption charges of three ministers. We insist HC to hold such inquiry suo moto.

 I welcome Justice Dhandapani's concern over the exploitation of coal resources in Neyveli in Tamil Nadu. Free electricity is provided to the farmers but their lands are taken away. Electricity can be produced from natural resources such as solar wind, hydropower, but they are privatized. Adani's solar power plant invests Rs 4500 crores. Why DMK rule didn't invest in the sector, he asked. Ganja, drugs and alcohol menace increased in the state. L and Order is in worst condition in the state.

 If actor Vijayalakshmi's complaint against me is true, the police would have been investigated the case. There may be political reasons to behind such charges, he said.
