In Erode east constituency, DMK candidate VC Chandrakumar has set a new record by winning at a margin of highest number of votes.
He received the election victory certificate from the returning officer and Erode Corporation commissioner HS Srikanth, Collector and district election officer Rajagopal Sunkara and election observer Ajay Kumar Gupta. The Erode East constituency was formed in 2011. Since then, it faced general election in 2011, 2016 and 2021, by election in 2023 and 2025. In 2011 poll, DMDK (AIADMK alliance) candidate VC Chandrakumar (now DMK candidate) won the seat at a margin of 10,644 votes, in 2016 the AIADMK's KS Thennarasu won 7,794 votes, in 2021 the Congress' Thirumahan won 8,904 votes and in 2013 Congress' EVKS Ilangovan won 66,233 votes.
Now, the DMK candidate VC Chandrakumar won by a margin of 91,558 votes and made a new history.
