Chess Olympiad awareness rally held

Collector H Krishnanunni inaugurated a motorcycle rally, arranged by district sports authority, to create awareness among public on 44th Chess Olympiad matches to be held at Mamallapuram from July 28 to August 10, near Erode VOC playground. More than 2500 players of  188 countries will participate in the Olympiad which is first of its kind in the nation. 

Starting at the playground, the rally reached the District Collector's Office and returned to the playground. More than 100 people participated in the rally. 
The district sports and youth welfare officer Sathish Kumar attended the function.
