Chief Minister MK Stalin to visit New Delhi on Tuesday night and meet the prime minister Narendra Modi and president Droupadi Murmu on Wednesday.
At a time when many of the resolutions passed in the Tamil Nadu assembly are pending before the governor RN Ravi, it is said that Stalin has decided to escalate the issue by taking it up to the knowledge of the prime minister.
Stalin’s flight is scheduled to leave the Chennai international airport at 9:30 pm. He will be meeting the vice-president Jagadeep Thangare around 10:30 am on Wednesday before meeting the president Droupadi Muru at 11:30 am and prime minister Modi at 4:30 pm.
During the meeting, issues like pending funds to Tamil Nadu, GST compensation fund, union government’s proposed amendments in electricity act and a bill seeking exemption from NEET would be discussed apart from insisting on new schemes for the state.
DMK MP TR Balu said that the chief minister would be discussing important issues to generate revenue for the state.
