Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organized the second summit of women entrepreneurs at St Mary’s college for women in Thoothukudi district. President of the association K Veila attended the function while Joshi Fernado college principal presided over the function. Addressing the gathering, general manager of district industrial center Suvarnalatha said, “Many women should come forward and become entrepreneurs. They need to believe in their potential and they would be creating employment opportunities.
They could help in socio-economic development. Financial assistance could be availed through schemes like start-up India, Mudra Yojana to start MSMEs.”
Several entrepreneurs, consultants and winners spoke on making use of opportunities and shared their success stories.
Vice-president of CII Celestine Villavaraya delivered a vote of thanks.
