City doctor is president of NCCP

Senior Pulmonologist Dr. Mohankumar Thekkinkattil of Coimbatore has been elected president of the National College of Chest Physicians (India) for 2023-24. A native of Pasayannur, Thrissur, Dr. Mohankumar has over 100 publications on lung diseases to his credit. He is a recipient of 19 national and international awards and has been a visiting professor in medical institutions in Manipal, USA, France and Poland. He has served as the president of the Academy of Pulmonology and Critical Care Society, Kerala; Indian Chest Society and Indian Association of Bronchology, besides being a member of the Editorial Board of seven medical journals. The annual conference of NCCP will be held under the chairmanship of Dr. Mohankumar in Coimbatore next year..
