New design Vetti-Saree in pongal

On the occasion of Pongal festival, Tamil Nadu Government has decided to provide free Vetti sarees in a new design. Every year Tamil Nadu government provides free vetti and sarees to ration card holders during Pongal festival. Along with this sugarcane and Rs 1000 cash were also given.

Vetti sarees in new designs

In this situation, 14 free grocery items were provided for the last Pongal festival after the DMK government took charge. This time on the occasion of Pongal festival, a consultation meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Stalin regarding the distribution of free vetti sarees.

Then it is planned to provide free Vetti sarees in new designs. In that category sarees are offered in 15 designs and many colors and dhoti in 5 designs. It is replaced for the first time after about 10 years. These free Vetti sarees have been ordered to be distributed in all ration shops by 10th of January.
