'CM plans to give Rs 1000 to each woman after poll'

CM MK Stalin has planned to give Rs 1000 to each woman after Erode East bypoll, said Forest Minister Dr Madhivendan. He camaigned at Erode Kalingalpalayam on Sunday. In his speech, he highlighted various welfare schemes of DMK rule including free travel for women in government buses,  Rs 1000 each for girls studying in colleges,  medical service at the doorstep of people, 48 hour life saving accident benefit scheme, hike in job quota for women in government service from 30 to 40 percent etc.

When asked about the former CM EPS' charge that due to non distribution of free cloth during Pongal festival, 4 women died  in the stampede at Vaniyambadi and AIADMK former minister Jayakumar's charge about DMK's plan to impersonate many voters, he said that   ''the opposition would level such charges due to politics.  But there is no truth in it'',  he added. He said "steps were already taken to catch Karuppan elephant which damage crops in Thalavadi and Jeerahalli areas in Sathy''.
