CM Stalin secures major investments in Chennai during his US Visit

In a significant boost for Tamil Nadu’s industrial landscape, Chief Minister MK Stalin signed major agreements with international companies during his visit to the United States.
On September 3, in Chicago, Tamil Nadu signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Eaton Corporation for a substantial investment of Rs 200 crore.
This deal will see Eaton expand its manufacturing facility in Chennai, creating 500 new jobs.
Additionally, the expansion will include a new research and development center and a global application engineering center.
In the same visit, Tamil Nadu also secured an agreement with Assurant, a major insurance firm based in Atlanta. Assurant will establish India’s first Global Competence Center (GCC) in Chennai.
These agreements reflect Tamil Nadu’s ongoing efforts to attract high-tech industries and create more job opportunities.
The state aims to boost its economy to a USD 1 trillion level by 2030.
Earlier in his visit, Chief Minister Stalin participated in an investors' conference in San Francisco where Tamil Nadu signed MoUs with several companies, including Nokia and PayPal.  These agreements are expected to create over 4,100 jobs and involve investments totaling Rs 900 crore.
This string of agreements emphasises Tamil Nadu’s growing appeal as a business destination, supported by a favorable investment climate and a commitment to economic development.
