Coconut Development Board arranges prayer for rain

Prayer and Special pooja were performed for Rain at Lord Azhagu Thirumalai Raya Perumal Temple, Thirumoorthy Nagar by Coconut Development Board, CoE for Coconut, DSP Farm, Dhali.
The temple is located in Tirumurthi Nagar village. Here, every year in the month of Puratasi (Tamil Month), on Saturday, people perform abhishekam, special decoration, pujas and Deeparathana to the deity. Following the failure of the South West Monsoon rain,  the Coconut Development Board (Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Govt. of India), Centre of Excellence for Coconut, Dhali, a pongal was held at the Lord Azhagu Tirumala Raya Perumal temple to pray for rain. Special puja was performed folowed by Annadhan to the devotees. In this event, Mr. G. Ragothuman, Head, Board’s Centre of Excellence of Coconut, Dhali presided. It was attended by the employees, casual labourers of the Board and the public.
