Coimbatore Collector Kranti Kumar Pati distributed education loan certificates worth Rs. 1.67 crore to 27 students during an education loan camp held at PSG College of Technology on September 12.
In his speech at the event, the district collector highlighted the importance of these camps in supporting students pursuing higher education, particularly in engineering, arts, and science. He noted, “This is the third camp we've organised to help students continue their studies. Higher education is essential for the state's progress, especially in Coimbatore, where technology innovation is a constant. Technology students are crucial in driving this growth.
While the current enrollment rate of class 12 students in colleges is 45%, our aim is to push this to 100%. A well-educated population is key to reaching our target of a $1 trillion economy.”
Coimbatore MP Ganapathi Rajkumar, PSG College of Technology Principal Prakasam, Senior Consultant for Education Loans Vanangamudi, District Pioneer Bank Manager Jeetendran, Canara Bank Regional Manager Sri Ramya, and Revenue Officer PK Govindhan were present at the event.
