Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Sivaguru Prabakaran reviewed several development schemes totaling Rs. 7.65 crore in the district central zone on Wednesday.
His visit included inspection of key projects aimed at improving infrastructure and facilities for the local community. Among the projects assessed were the construction of a mansion valued at Rs. 1.40 crore under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana - National Rural Livelihoods Mission, intended to benefit underprivileged individuals in the Kadalaikara Sandhu region. The Commissioner visited Puliakulam Verivada Primary School to evaluate ongoing works related to the construction of a library, school office, and building ceiling, amounting to Rs. 25.40 lakhs.
Engaging with students, he also discussed educational matters during his visit to the school. Furthermore, he inspected an Anganwadi centre and the construction of additional classrooms at the Corporation Middle School in Easwaran Kovil street, which collectively represent investments of Rs. 19.50 lakhs and Rs. 70 lakhs respectively. The commissioner's assessment included various development initiatives underway in the region.
