Collector inaugurated rally to create awareness about Chess Olympiad

 The district collector GS Sameeran on Friday inaugurated a rally that was organized to create awareness about the 44th chess olympiad that is to take place in Mamallapuram, at Nehru stadium in the city. Ahead of the olympiad that is scheduled to take place from July 28 to August 10, several awareness programmes are being organized in the district. As a part of it, more than 300 students from multiple colleges in the district participated in the rally. They carried placards with awareness messages during the rally. 
District sports officer Ravichandran and other government officials participated in the event.
