Collector inaugurates seminar on detection of disabilities

Collector H.Krishnanunni inaugurated a seminar on detection of disabilities on behalf of the Differently Abled Welfare Department at Nandha Physiotherapy College, Perundurai. According to the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016, the classification of disability is divided from 9 to 21 categories. Among the 21 types of disabilities, some are not known by people.

Therefore, District Medical Officers, Child Development Officers who meet the public more often, special teachers who meet differently abled students studying in government schools, regular trainers and medical students who are studying in this way. 

More than 500 people participated in the college attended the seminar. In the seminar, many health, ICDS and education department officials attended.
