Collector H Krishnanunni inspected various development in TN Palayam, Gobi Panchayat Unions. He inspected the Government Paddy Direct Procurement Center, which started functioning from last month.
He examined the details of paddy being procured, token registration details and stock of paddy. He also inquired about the details of paddy ready for harvesting in the area and advised to procure 1000 bags of paddy daily as per the rules.
He also advised that the paddy should be sent to warehouses immediately. Officials said that 604 metric tons have been procured so far in the area. In Perumukai Panchayat, he inaugurated and visited the Automatic Drip Irrigation Unit set up by Kalani Producers Group. He also inspected the Government Vocational Training Institute building, which is being constructed at an estimate of Rs.7.6 crores in Periyakodiveri.
