Collector issues flood alert

Collector H Krishnaunni issued a flood alert to the people living on the banks of Cauvery river due to floods in the river after the release entire surplus water of Mettur dam which was overflowing from Saturday. 
The surplus water was opened in the Cauvery River from the dam. On Saturday evening  1.15 lakh cubic ft of water was being released from the dam in the river.

So, the Collector advised people, living nearby the river, to go to the safe place, and take bath or wash cloth in the river and do rituals in the temples on the bank of the river.
