 A total of 246 petitions were receivedv by Collector 
H krishnanunni regarding various demands at the Monday grievance redressal meeting held at the Collectorate on Monday.  
After receiving the petitions, he directed the officials to take appropriate action. Earlier, he issued old age pension orders to 4 persons belonging to Modakkurichi. The meeting was attended by District Revenue Officer 
S. Santhoshini Chandra, Excise Assistant Commissioner Jayarani, District Supply Officer Ilahijan, District Adidravida and Tribal Welfare Officer Meenakshi, District Differently Abled Welfare Officer Kothaiselvi. In the petition submitted by the people of Vellodu, Kanagapuram, Velangattuvalasu, Pudur area near Erode states: Over 120 families living in the area were using ​​1.30 acres in the Vellodu area as cemetery for many years. Now, some persons occupied the land claiming it as their own while allotting just 30 cent for grave yard. They wanted steps to restore the grave yard.A petition submitted by Erode District Poultry Farmers' Welfare Association Chairman Venkatachalam sought the intervention of Collector to get higher wages for rearing broiler chicks on par with rise in production cost from the firms which entrusted the work to them.  A widow Thangammal (A) Kannammal (65), of Attani sought the help of collector to get back the land donated by her to his son for not maintaining her at this old age as promised by him.
