Congress is not against any language: KS Alagiri

“Congress has not acted against any language,” Tamil Nadu Congress Committee President KS Alagiri said, adding that the position of the Congress was not to impose any language.

The Salt Satyagraha Memorial Rally from Trichy to Vedaranyam on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Congress Party started yesterday near the Tyagi TSS Rajan House near the old express bus stand in Trichy.

Former Union Minister P. Chidambaram flagged off the event, which was chaired by former Tamil Nadu Congress leader KV Thangabalu. He said that we can protect our freedom by using weapons of speech and writing on a daily basis.

Trichy Lok Sabha member S. Thirunavukarasar said, “If Prime Minister Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and others have to be ousted from the country, then Rahul Gandhi should become the Prime Minister. If Rahul Gandhi wants to be the Prime Minister, it is important to strengthen the Congress like the DMK and AIADMK in Tamil Nadu.”

Tamil Nadu Congress leader KS Alagiri said,“ The Congress has not acted against any language. The position of the Congress is not to impose. It is because of the creation of the linguistic states by the Congress government that we are still proud to be a united Indian nation.”
