Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin said that conspiracies have been hatched to dissolve the DMK government in the state. Addressing the gathering after unveiling the statue of former Chief Minister and DMK stalwart M Karunanidhi in Nagercoil, Stalin said, “We should work hard to fulfill the aspirations of former Chief Ministers Anna and Karunanidhi. No matter whether we are the ruling party or the opposition, we should move constantly towards the target.”
“The DMK has earned a lot of well wishers not just in the state but also beyond the state. Leaders of several states have appreciated us and even those who are beyond the seas, have appreciated us. But there are certain people who want to divide and rule the nation.
They are scared of the Dravidian model government as we have been working closely with the people and they are scared that they would lose their livelihood. So, they are hatching conspiracies to dissolve the government,” he added. They have been working to create communal riots to divide the people who are living with harmony, he said.
Claiming that he does not prefer to answer unwanted criticism, he said, “The parliamentary election is fast approaching and the opposition is scared that the DMK alliance would win the election just like we had won the previous elections.” I have been constantly saying that secular leaders should come together to protect the country, he said, adding that only by forming a great alliance and contesting in elections together, they would be able to save not just the people of Tamil Nadu but also the people of the entire country. He sought the support of everyone to continue his work without interruption.
