Construction workers seek Rs 5000 Diwali bonus

Erode District Construction Workers Union (CITU) staged a demonstration in front of the Erode District Unorganised Labour Welfare Board Office, Erode, demanding immediate action  on all applications pending in the Welfare Board, Diwali bonus of Rs 5000 from welfare board to all construction workers, Pongal gift, free dhoti, saree,  simplification of the housing scheme, hike in the pension to Rs.3,000. The union district secretary Sriram led the stir.
