CVC prize distribution function

Citizens’ Voice Coimbatore, has conducted an Inter Collegiate Mock Court Competition, as a part of its 40th Anniversary celebrations. The prize distribution ceremony was held on Dec 17th at Vivekalaya Matric HSS. 

The competition was held to create consumer awareness amongst the students which drew a total of 367 students from 18 different colleges. Dr. Kavidasan, Director Roots Industries, Prema Rao Correspondent of Vivekalaya school, C Jeyasoorya, VP & Regional Head of DCB Bank and  A Srinivasan Addl.

Commissioner of IT attended.C.M Jayaraman, President of CVC said CVC introduced the concept of signing MOU with colleges starting with Hindustan College of Arts & Science in 2019, during Covid periods; thereby reiterating our move to start consumer  clubs in  18 colleges. 

Dr.Kavidas appreciated the initiative of CVC in introducing the Certificate Course in CPA & Solid Waste Management.  He wanted CVC to sign an MOU with Coimbatore Productivity Council and continue a fulfledged course on a regular basis for the benefit society at large.

A. Srinivasan highlighted the role played by CVC during the covid period.  He also wanted the students not to be silent spectators and exercise their consumer rights and raise questions, when the need arises, as per the guidelines drawn up in the CPA. The function was conducted by the core team from CVC, including its Secretary Mr. VA Shanmugam, Mr. R. Kumar,Mr. M.M. Rajendran, Mr. Ram Prakash and Mr. Subramanian.
