Cycling competition for school students

 A cycling competition for school students is going to be held in Erode on behalf of the TN Sports Development Authority on the occasion of the late former Chief Minister Anna's birthday on Sept 15, Collector H Krishnanunni said. 

In this, 15 km for boys below 13 years of age, 10 km for girls, 20 km for boys below 15 and 17 years of age and 15 km for girls are conducted. Students who want to participate in this should use only ordinary bicycles made in India. This match will be held on Sept 15th at 7 am at Erode Perundurai Road,  starting from Veerappam Palayam Division and going up to Nanda College of Arts and Sciences and coming back to Veerappam Palayam Division.

In this competition, the students who win the first 3 places will be awarded Rs.5000, Rs.3000 and Rs.2000 each, and the winners from the 4th to the 10th place will be awarded Rs.250 each.
